The team is just one individual at present. My life story, lifelong interests, and current occupation have motivated me to seek to scale personalized tutoring for STEM students of all ages. I believe that the technological base, on one hand, and the advances in the learning sciences, on the other, make this a perfect time for this project. Additional favorable circumstances are the vibrant education-edtech ecosystem, and the Watson AI XPIZE itself. Even if this project cannot be realized in its full initial concept in the next 5 years, it will force us to consider and attempt to tackle a number of important unsolved problems and learn considerably more than we know about human and artificial intelligence.
