The Literacy Council's (TLC) mission is to improve the lives of adults and their families through literacy education that teaches people to read, write, and speak English. TLC provide adult basic literacy, ESOL, family literacy, and GED classes across the five counties we serve in Central Alabama. TLC provides adults who are functionally illiterate the educational foundation necessary to improve their quality of life for themselves and their families and strengthen their communities.
