We have developed a LAMP-based assay for COVID at-home self-testing. The assay includes only three simple steps: 1. Mix the sample with the LAMP reagents. 2. Incubate the reaction on a heating device. 3. Read the result by inserting a lateral flow strip into the tube. It is based on nucleic acid detection rather than antibody detection used for many other later flow strip-based tests, so the sensitivity is much higher and similar to the RT-PCR tests. It is perfect for at-home self-testing.
