We have developed a LAMP-based assay for massive COVID screening. The assay includes only two major steps: 1. Mix the sample with the LAMP reagents. 2. Incubate the reaction on a real-time thermocycler to read the signal. There is no sample processing (without adding any lysis buffer or reagents). The sample-to-answer time is about 30min. It can be automated by using the robotic liquid handler for thousands of tests /day, which is perfect for the large scale population surveillance.
