Team AVATRINA is a UIUC–vRotors collaboration with decades of expertise in robotic integration, teleoperation, motion planning, computer vision, and VR/AR. Members have competed in the Amazon Robotics Challenge and DARPA Robotics Challenge. vRotors’ platform lets users “tele-be” inside remote robots via VR/AR, using ultra-low-latency links to interact with real environments—enabling remote presence, manipulation, and inspection across the globe.
