Jarod is an interdisciplinary scientist and entrepreneur dedicated to expanding human health, human potential, and human agency. He is passionate about accelerating medical progress and enhancing human capacity. Currently, he is the Director of Biotechnology at Starbloom Capital and the Bio Lead at The Amaranth Foundation. He is also the Founder of Talos Bio, a stealth-mode AIxBio company. He has been involved in building and governing companies spanning therapeutics, AI platforms, medical devices, life science tools, and diagnostics. He has extensive research and development experience spanning the biology of aging, neuroimmunology, AI, functional genomics, genetics, and computational biology. Jarod’s research has been published in leading journals including Nature, Cell, and Science, and featured in global news outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Time Magazine.

Jarod holds a BS in Biochemistry and Chemistry from Colorado College,  Ph.D. in Genetics from Stanford University, and completed postdoctoral training in AI and functional genomics at Stanford University and EMBL Heidelberg.
