Beginning with our Earth Day celebration film and culminating in our video for the launch of the Feed The Next Billion Prize earlier this month. Made in April to celebrate Earth Day 2020 when it felt like the whole world was at a standstill. Stuck in our homes, it gave us time to reflect on the things we were missing but maybe had taken for granted before the pandemic.
Present Futures - Gender Equity
Over the year we made a handful of Present Futures videos which looked at and unpacked issues which we champion. We wanted to revisit this film on Gender Equity, an important issue which is entrenched so deeply in all aspects of society that we will continue to push for in 2021 and beyond.
Voicenote featuring Shlomy Kattan
While the hypnotizing visuals technically make this a ‘watch’, the important thing here is to listen. To coincide with the launch of our Rapid Reskilling Prize, our Chief Advancement Officer, Shlomy Kattan recorded this Voicenote. He reflects on American Capitalism, Marxism and the Future of Work. Big issues, yes, but Shlomy manages to eloquently weave them together for us in under two minutes!
In September we took a moment to celebrate the anniversary of our CEO Anousheh Ansari blasting off from our planet to spend nine days aboard the International Space Station. ‘No one took me seriously, but I knew I would make it happen.’

It hasn’t even been a month since we launched the Feed The Next Billion Prize but what better way to finish this list than with the launch film. It wasn’t easy launching a Prize this huge in 2020, but hard work and dedication have paid off. It takes more than a pandemic to stop us.
